4th of July in Baudette… All Are Welcome! Fish and Celebrate with Us

There is one big celebration this area is famous for, the 4th of July.  The Baudette – Lake of the Woods Chamber of Commerce has been putting together a 4th of July with a host of activities to please the entire family.  Many make their plans to take advantage of the great fishing this time of year and as a bonus, head into town to celebrate our countries independence.

Some of the events taking place are the 5K Run, history museum exhibits, food and merchandise vendors, the Depot, pie and ice cream social, lumberjack show, kiddie parade, main parade, Fort Frances Highlanders, kiddie races, lumberjack kids camp, bingo, bobber races, street dance and of course, fireworks.   We said this was a big deal, didn’t we?

The highlight of the day for many is the big fireworks display over Baudette Bay.  There are many areas to enjoy fireworks, with Willie Walleye Park being a main vantage point with plenty of room for all.  We have heard it said by visitors that this small communities fireworks display rivals that of larger towns.  Yep, we do it up big in these parts and welcome you to join in on the fun.

One highlight this year is the All American Lumberjack show.  This show is free to the public and we encourage to bring your family and enjoy the fun.  The shows take place on Main Ave at Noon, 4:30 and 7:30pm.  Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating!
