The Lake of the Woods Tourism Bureau houses area information and is a hub of activity during the peak tourist season. We take pride in being the organization that helps to promote our fabulous resort community and legendary Lake of the Woods. Our office is located on the west edge of Baudette, just off of State Highway 11 on the north side of the road. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the winter, and we are open seven days a week with extended hours of operation during the summer. LAKE OF THE WOODS WILL HOST MEDIA CONFERENCE IN 2008
Over One Hundred Outdoor Media Members Will Attend

The Associate of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers will hold their 2008 Conference at Lake of the Woods September 15th - 18th. AGLOW is comprised of outdoor writers, photographers, media members, and corporate sponsors throughout the Midwest whose mission is to promote hunting, fishing, and all outdoor activities.

Lake of the Woods Tourism Bureau Executive Director Denelle Cauble, and Assistant Director Jenna Walton attended the 2007 AGLOW Conference in Niagara Falls NY September 17th - 20th. "We feel it will be a huge asset for Lake of Woods to host so many great writers, we are extremely honored to have been chosen as the 2008 conference site" stated Executive Director Cauble.

Lake of the Woods Tourism has been working with Gregg Hennum of Sportsman’s Lodge, which will be the host facility for the event. Highlights of the conference include an ATV, Boating, and Camping Day, a shooting day is also planned at S & M Sporting Clays, and a day of fishing and/or hunting. The last day of the conference includes Breakout Day, an excellent opportunity for corporate members to showcase the latest technology in outdoor sports. Examples of corporate members include: Winchester, Remington, Coleman, Berkley, General Motors, Wildlife Research Center, Ice Team, Browning, and many more top companies in the outdoor industry.
