Ice Fishing On Lake of the Woods… Midwest Outdoors TV

It’s that time of the year when folks who enjoy ice fishing on Lake of the Woods start looking at the ice reports.  Although a little behind this year, ice is being formed and soon it will be “Game ON” regarding ice fishing The Walleye Capital of the World.

To get you in the mood, Midwest Outdoors TV will be airing a brand new segment of ice fishing from Lake of the Woods.  Joe Henry of Lake of the Woods Tourism and Greg Jones share insight and some hot fishing action from the comfort of a resort fish house.  The fishing was excellent with a variety of fish iced.   Watch how the “One Two” punch of jigging in one hole and using a dead stick in another hole can merit more fish.

Lake of the Woods is called The Walleye Capital of the World and for good reason.  The consistency of walleye fishing makes this a popular fishing destination whether you are a hard core angler searching for a trophy or simply someone who fished once or twice per year.  In addition to walleyes, saugers, jumbo perch, monster pike and slab crappies are available.  To learn more about ice fishing Lake of the Woods, resorts, fish house rentals and more, check out the Lake of the Woods Tourism website.
