Lake of the Woods on Midwest Outdoors this Weekend
Lake of the Woods will be featured this weekend on Midwest Outdoors TV with a special look into charter fishing. Greg Jones, host of Midwest Outdoors and Joe Henry with Lake of the Woods Tourism will preview what’s in store this summer if you decide to use a full service charter or use a guide.
There are a lot of ways to catch walleyes on The Walleye Capital of the World, but in this segment, the focus is on pulling snelled spinners otherwise called harnesses. In true LOW style, this show doesn’t disappoint.
The show will air this weekend on Fox Sports North and Fox Sports WI. Check your local listings or check out the Midwest Outdoors website to learn more.
There are a lot of ways to fish LOW. Some anglers bring their own boats. There are numerous access points around the Rainy River, south shore and NW Angle to land a boat and take advantage of this great resource.
Up at the NW Angle, some will use their own boat or hire a guide. The resorts can provide you with experienced guides who can help you to experience the Angle in a magical way. Catching walleyes, muskies, crappies, pike, perch and smallmouth bass. Being treated to a fresh shore lunch. Enjoying the 14,552 islands on LOW. Another great opportunity.
And of course charters. Charters make life easy. Have a nice breakfast and at about 8am, step aboard. A licensed charter captain will lead your journey. Everything is provided such as rod and reels, bait, tackle, etc. Some offer shore lunches while others focus on fishing. All you have to think about is catching fish and having a nice time.
