The U.S. Border Patrol and the Northerly Border

When most people think of Border Patrol these days, they think of our southern border with Mexico.  The topic of borders can be heard about daily throughout the media these days with talk of new regulations in securing borders.  With that being said, the border between the U.S. and Canada gets far less attention.  The Border Patrol is out there watching, patrolling and working with the community keeping an eye out for any sort of illegal activity.

One of the best assets the Border Patrol has is us.  That’s right.  They rely heavily on developing relationships and chatting with anglers, snowmobilers, boaters, resort owners, fishing guides and others who have a good idea when something seems out of place or not quite right.

Check out a recent news story showing some of the work that is being done by the U.S. Border Patrol.  The main base that patrols all of Lake of the Woods is out of Warroad, MN.
