May I say that the Logging industry still thrives in this area too. Logging happens in the local areas of Beltrami State Forest and other areas around. Many logging trucks can be seen traveling through the city year round and deliver their goods to a local timer mill south of town. From there, trucks with logs travel to other mills in International Falls and Bemidji. Logging is also done in Canada which is our neighbor to the north and they travel across the new International Bridge into the United States to bring lumber to sell in this area.

Technology. Technology infrastructure is key in today’s world. It also creates a number of business opportunities. The area has access to high speed broadband opening doors educationally, as well as for business and personal growth.
