Frost Fest 2018 in Baudette… Kicking Off the Winter and Holiday Season

audette-Lake of the Woods Chamber of Commerce has organized another fun slate of events for this year’s Frost Fest 2018 taking place in Baudette. Frost Fest is a celebration of the holiday season and takes place Saturday, November 17th.
There is a full day of activities planned and all are welcome. Winter is a wonderful season in these parts and we find it a great reason to celebrate. Check out the list of events!
The kick off to winter is a special time up in Baudette and around Lake of the Woods. As The Walleye Capital of the World, Lake of the Woods is arguably the top ice fishing destination in North America. In fact, Target Walleye recently named it #1 ice fishing destination in the U.S. People come from around the world to experience the adventure of riding out in a bombardier to a heated fish house, ice fishing in comfort and catching delicious walleyes and saugers. Others prefer driving their own vehicles on a plowed ice road miles out on to an expanse of ice for miles to a heated resort fish house. Winter adventure for sure.
Besides the area boasts ice fishing, hundreds of miles of beautiful groomed snowmobile trails, sliding, skating, cross country skiing, winter fat tire bike trails and a variety of shopping and museum opportunities.
Some make it a point to visit the Igloo Bar on the ice. Over 1,000 square feet, electric lights, two big screen TV’s, partial hot menu and bar. Oh year, and you can actually fish in the bar. Only on Lake of the Woods!
