Frost Fest Invites the Season

Once again the winter season has been ushered in at the Lake of the Woods area with shimmers of ice appearing along shorelines and in bays. Along with that the Baudette/Lake of the Woods Chamber of Commerce recently sponsored the Frost Fest Celebration. A parade of lighted and decorated ice houses was held, a community dinner was offered and the town Christmas Tree was lighted. Early in the day the community was able to partake in other activities. The annual Holiday Craft Fair is always a complete success held at Lake of the Woods School with crafters displaying their wares most of the day. Entertainment was held at the Historical Rex Hotel Event Room and businesses in the downtown area showed off their decorations. Of course, Baudette is always known for its beautiful fireworks held on July 4th every year, but only in this beautiful north country can you find fireworks on a cold wintery November night being fired off over Baudette Bay at Willie Walleye Park. Baudette is a small community but it has a big heart when it comes to celebrations!!!
