MWC (Master’s Walleye Circuit) Coming to Lake of the Woods in 2018

Mark your calendars!  One of the largest and well known walleye tournaments has announced their 2018 schedule and Lake of the Wood is on the list.  The Cabela’s MWC (Masters Walleye Circuit) tournament is coming to Lake of the Woods on July 13-14, 2018.  In communicating with the MWC, the oldest running professional walleye circuit in North America founded 1984 has never been to the Walleye Capital of the World….Lake Of The Woods!

The MWC is a team format—which lets you share all the fun (and expenses) with your favorite fishing partner as you compete for nearly a $1 million in cash and prizes and well over 100% payback in cash and prizes with great contingency cash and prizes from sponsors and a no-entry-fee, World Walleye Championship for the season’s top finishers.  The MWC offers excellent odds of cashing some serious checks for anglers looking to fish competitively.

These tournaments are two day tournaments and around 150 anglers from around a dozen states are expected.  Each location, there are a number of local anglers who may enter their hat into the ring battling against anglers who fish across the U.S. competitively for walleyes.  Lake of the Woods is one of eight regular tournaments in 2018 plus their championship that teams have to qualify for.
