NW Angle Featured on CBS Sunday Morning

It isn’t often when a major network like CBS features a small area like Minnesota’s Northwest Angle to the millions who watch their network.  One step further, when one of their flagship shows that has been around since 1979, Sunday Morning comes around, well, people take notice.  Such was the case this past Sunday when a segment filmed in November, 2015 came to life to viewers.

Anchored by Charles Osgood, CBS Sunday Morning just had it’s most watched quarter in 29 years, averaging 3.63 million viewers per show.  This is more than the major network morning shows receive all week.

The segment featured some history on why the NW Angle is a “geographic oddity”.  It also told the story of how residents of this area go through hardships just to live everyday life.  The only one room school in MN, the great fishing, the walleye wars and so much more that makes this area and the people who live here so special.

If you missed the episode on the NW Angle titled, “Minnesota’s Northwest Angle, an American Geographic Oddity”, you are in luck.
