It’s that time of the year many call their favorite. “Sweater weather” as some call it also is the time when the forests, bogs, fields and shorelines come to life with the changing colors of fall. Right now is a great time to view fall colors around Lake of the Woods. To help plan your adventure, the MN DNR tracks fall colors around the state with a helpful fall colors map.
Scenic fall drives. Just about anywhere is this wilderness rich area is a hit. Here are just a few ideas in the area to get you started. Maps are available on the DNR website as well in person at the Lake of the Woods Tourism Bureau in Baudette, MN.

This is a great time of the year not only for fall colors, but also for fishing and hunting. Lake of the Woods offers world class fishing for walleyes, pike, muskies, bass, crappies, perch and sturgeon this time of the year.
