Lake of the Woods 99th Annual County Fair is upon us running from July 13th-July 17th. Five fun filled days are planned by the very active County Fair Board. They have worked tirelessly all year to produce this very enjoyable event for all residents and visitors to Lake of the Woods. Last year the board purchased new grandstand bleacher and they are up and ready to go.

Wednesday, July 13th will be the kick off day where 4-H members will start off the day. Non-animal judging takes place from 10am – 1 pm. Their food booth is one of the favorite spots in the fair building to purchase home made pie and ice cream plus a variety of sandwiches. That food booth will be open from 10am to 12pm being run by many volunteers, leaders and members of 4-H.

The Club’s Project Judging will be from 12-1pm in the Fair Building. The 4-H Horse Show will be at 4pm at the Horse Arena.
This year’s Midway is Crescent City Amusements who open at 4pm and go until 9pm. Wristbands are for sale for this and will be honored from 6pm-8pm. Bring the kids for a great time, as well as you older kids too.

Sloughgrass is a local family bluegrass band out of Birchdale. They have performed many places and even won awards. They will be on the open stage from 5-8pm. Grab a drink, a sandwich and enjoy the entertainment.

Thursday, July 14th , K ids Day, starts the day with food booths from 11am-2pm and 4pm-9pm, The Midway will be open from Noon to 10pm with wristbands honored between 5-7pm. Face Painting will be available from 3-7pm.

Friday, July 15th Again, food booths will be open from 11am-2pm and 4-9pm. There will be a horse show at 10 a.m. at the horse arena. 4-H Judging will be at 4pm. The Open Stage will see plenty of action for your entertainment all day. A group called Simple Guys will perform at 1 and 3pm and roam the grounds at 5pm. A cowboy hypnotist will be there at 5pm and the Bad Jack Band will be on board from 8pm-12am.
The midway will open up from noon until 11pm with wristbands honored from 3-5pmand 9-11pm. Face painting will happen from 3-7pm and the feature of the evening will be Far North RC Races starting at 5pm until 6:30pm.

The Main Event On July 15th happens as Midwest All-Star Wrestling invades the 99th Annual Lake of the Woods County Fair for Slamfest featuring an appearance by former Mr. Money In The Bank and United States Champion Mr. Ken Anderson as well as our very own fair board VP JP Sweet! We can’t wait for this event and to welcome professional wrestling back to the Lake of the Woods area for the first time in several years! Tickets will be available at the gate on the day of event starting at $15 for Adults and $25 for ringside seats to this action packed event! What a day of pleasure!!!

Saturday, July 16th This day’s big events will be the NBHA Barrel Racing at 11am and the historic Oval Demolition Derby at 3pm and the Oval Races at 4pm. The Open Stage will see Paul Bunyan at 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30. A pet show for dogs and cats will take place at noon. Also at noon will be Don Warren.

Food booths will be open and 4-H judging will happen at 11am. There is a possibility of Cow Pie Bingo sponsored for the 4-H groups. The midway will also be open from 1-6pm. Far North RC Races happen from 10am-3pm that day also.
The Bad Jack Band will perform again on the Open State from 8pm-12a.m topping off the great fair event of 2022. See you at the FAIR!!!
