Experience Worship at Lake of the Woods

Visitors to Lake of the Woods experience many of the wonderful features that this land holds. An old hymn has a phrase that goes like this, “for the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies…” This country proclaims that glory in the pristine waters of the lake itself, the wonder of the changing seasons, the excitement of catching your biggest fish, the wonderful northern lights and great fellowship of the people who live and work here. There is another aspect of this land to address here as well. There are many opportunities to worship in the community of Baudette, Williams and Birchdale. Pastors in this area would like to extend an invitation to everyone to attend the church, Kingdom Hall or place of worship of their choice as they visit this land or have made it their home!!! It is always wonderful to sit in the middle of God’s creation and celebrate His goodness and the beauty that has been created, but it is also wonderful to gather oneself together with other believers to celebrate those things.   There is a great spirit of unity amongst the many congregations here and you will find many opportunities to express yourself in your particular tradition. Lake of the Woods Tourism has featured a page in the official guide of the area listing all the places of worship. Click here to access that page from our website.

The Ministerium would like to extend this invitation to the community and visitors to the area to worship together in a unified Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday evening, November 22nd, at 7:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. Many pastors will participate in this service of thanksgiving and refreshments will be served. Please feel welcome to come and celebrate with the community. Also accept this invitation to worship at the church or place of worship of your choice during this Thanksgiving and Holiday season.   “…..for the glory…”
