This 4th of July, Get To Lake of the Woods
Some might say that the best holidays come during the summer, and it doesn’t get much more festive stateside than during the 4th of July. Come Independence Day, fireworks stands, watermelon slices, and bunting are everywhere. Parades blare through the streets, day-drinking is standard, and the hot dogs are plentiful. July 4 events span family-friendly fare.
This 4th of July, if you want to get out of town for a long weekend, we highly recommend experiencing what Lake of the Woods has to offer.
Wednesday, July 3rd
Pre 4th of July festivities kick off Wednesday night. Shirts & Skins, a six-piece band, will be performing on Main Street during the Street Dance! Shirts & Skins are one of the most dynamic touring bands in the upper Midwest. Their musicianship, exceptional training and dynamic show will have you captivated from the very first note. With a diverse song list, Shirts & Skins hits all genres and musical tastes.

Firecracker 5k *8:30 am*
Kick off your morning with a 5K fun run & walk. 7:00 a.m. Registration at the Baudette Depot. 8:30 a.m. 5K Fun Run and Walk. The race begins at the Baudette Depot. Proceeds from the 5K go towards Fourth of July Celebration Fireworks.5K fun run/walk registration and racer bib pick-up begin at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at the Baudette Depot on Main Avenue. Trophies awarded for first place male and female finishers. Medals awarded for top three in each of seven age groups.
KIDDIE PARADE: 1:30PM
No pre-registration required.
Participants should line up in front of LakeWood no later than 1:15 pm. The parade route will start at that point, and run down Main Street.
MAIN PARADE 2 PM
Pre-register by June 30 by calling Thrifty White Pharmacy at 218-634-1236.
The parade will line up along 5th Street SW in front of CHI LakeWood Health Center/Baudette Arena. The entire parade will run down Main Street.

We’ve got one of the best hypnotists in the country performing, Rany Bunker. 
Watch John Narum, World Yo-yo Champion and former top-100 contestant on America’s Got Talent in Baudette at 11:45 am & 4 pm.
They are displayed over the Baudette Bay. Best viewing from Willie Walleye Park, Northern Minnesota’s most spectacular firework display.
Want to be part of this years 4th of July celebration?! There’s no such thing as a small job. We are looking for volunteers to help handle the inflatable games. There are one bouncy house castle and one slide. We want to make sure kids are following the rules associated with them. They’re only 30-minute shifts so that it wouldn’t interrupt your night!
