SHUTTLE SERVICE TO NW ANGLE
Driving. Travelers will travel up the west side of Lake of the Woods through either Warroad, MN or Roseau, MN, using the Sprague, MB Port of Entry or the South Junction Port of Entry respectively, both located in Manitoba. Driving a vehicle to the NW Angle from the U.S. will cross the border into Canada, traveling 40 miles through Manitoba before re-entering the U.S. up at the NW Angle. Â
Â
Travelers must have the proper credentials required by CBSA (Canada Border Service Agency) while traveling through Canada.Â
Â
Lake of the Woods Passenger Service. This passenger service will comfortably transport you up to your favorite NW Angle resort across Lake of the Woods, keeping you in Minnesota and within the United States on your journey.  This also means credentials to enter Canada on this trip are not needed as you are not crossing into Canada.Â
Â
The service will transport you to Minnesota’s NW Angle via charter boat in the open water season and across the frozen lake via bombardier during the winter months.Â
Air Travel. There are many private planes that travel to the NW Angle. As there is not a public runway, float planes are the norm up at the Angle.  Sunset Lodge Resort located on Oak Island is an official sea plan base. Â
