Win America’s Ice Fishing Tournament from Lake of the Woods

When the opportunity arises to fish an ice fishing tournament and you can fish anywhere in America there is ice fishing, Lake of the Woods is probably a good choice.  America’s Ice Fishing Tournament is a new, sister event of the Ice Fishing Extravaganza that is hosted virtually through the FishDonkey app. This tournament is open to all ice fishing anglers on February 4, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds from the event are donated to charities. 

Anglers who are visiting Lake of the Woods now have the chance to participate in America’s Ice Fishing Tournament.  Contestants are eligible to win one of 50 prizes including $2,500 cash! The 50 prizes, with a total value of over $20,000, will be scattered throughout the top 350 places based on point-awarded fish values. 

The event is open country-wide to all ice fishing anglers and will be hosted through the FishDonkey app. Eligible species for the tournament are walleye, northern pike, crappie, perch, and sunfish.  Tickets for the event are on sale now. As The Walleye Capital of the World, we have some distinct advantages.  First off, there is always the chance to catch numbers of walleyes.  For this tournament, there are advantages for catching numbers of fish as every fish is an entry and many of the prizes are based on place.  The other advantage is LOW is known as a trophy fish haven for walleyes, pike and perch.  The other way to win is having the largest fish.

What enables this tournament to happen from all across the USA ice belt is the FishDonkey app.  If you haven’t used it, the app is easy to use.  In a nutshell, when you are in the app, you take a picture on a measuring board and a second image as a hero shot.  The app will automatically measure and allocate a measurement to the fish.  Simple and easy.
